Hi, I'm Leah, owner of Abundant Walks and I am delighted to welcome you and your pets to our website. I hope you find everything you are looking for here, but please get in touch if there is anything else we can help with.

Our Story

Abundant Walks was founded in January 2024, to realise my dream of working with animals, by offering pet care services in Castleford and surrounding areas. I have always loved building bonds with pets, and would definitely be found petting the dog at every party.

 

After purchasing my first house, I knew all that's left was to welcome a dog into my new home. Fast forward to November 2022 and I did just this - bringing home my terrier twins Bruiser and Blair. It was a wonderful experience and I loved playing, training, and bonding with each of them, despite their total opposite personalities. Of course this left me wishing I could spend more time with each of them.

 

In December 2024, I took a huge leap of faith and went part-time at my office job so I could spend my time working on Abundant Walks, which ultimately gives me more opportunities to do what I love in the company of your beloved pets. I hope to keep growing this pet care business into my full-time career, and I am eternally grateful for each of you choosing Abundant Walks to care for your furry friends.

My Mission

I always endeavor to provide high quality pet services by providing the time and attention that your furry friends deserve for every service. 

 

I hold safety with the upmost importance, so have a full DBS check, insurance with protectivity and my canine first aid certification. More practically, I always carry a first aid kit for each service.

 

Ensuring I am up to date with the latest knowledge and guidance within the pet care industry is essential. Therefore, I frequently complete various courses around animal management and pet care to ensure I can offer the highest standards of care and support to your precious pets.

 

I have experience dealing with a range of different breeds and species, large and small, as well as experience with reactive dogs.
